I am SO FAR BEHIND!! I don't have time right now to read what happened, but I'll be back! Yeah... what Zoe says - CHIN UP!

It will be cleaned up on Friday.

I don't have a gas powered chainsaw, only a little electric that I use to cut ice (14 inch bar) and this was just too large a task to do with that. There are several other trees that are in danger of coming down in that little point of property (that will land in my yard) and the owners are going to remove them as well. We were fortunate in that these people WANT to be good neighbors!

Oh me. We have had that problem several times. One huge hackberry tree fell on the corner of the house, 2 cars, a low stone wall, yard furniture, flower beds... We like and want our trees, but they can cause problems.

Your garden is looking good, though. You are lucky to have good neighbors.

That is so diheartening, but you have a great attitude! Something similar happened to me earlier this season. I am pleased now everything came back!
Best,

Sorry it took so long to respond. I work a lot of hours and sometimes the blog takes second place...
Yes, I am fortunate in that my neighbors want to be good neighbors. The garden is perking up- I have a full row of carrots, a full row of spinach and many other delectables (23 - yes 23- baby tomatoes) all popping their little heads up. I am patient...

Philip,

Yes, it was disheartening, but.... I want what I want and am willing to wait - retry - redo to get it. Mom Nature puts me in check when I take her for granted or get too cocky. We DO live in harmony here.... thats how it has to be. Happy digging and I hope "Mom" wasn't too rough on you.
Kindness always,
Melissa
